Florida PolyCon Terms & Conditions
A valid ticket grants you a revocable license to attend the event. This license may be revoked at any time for any reason without a refund. The purchase or use of a ticket constitutes your unconditional acceptance of the Terms and Conditions. You confirm that you have read and accept the Terms and Conditions in their entirety. Please be aware that ALL tickets are NON-TRANSFERABLE and NON-REFUNDABLE unless otherwise specified. Florida PolyCon is an event hosted on Florida Polytechnic University property and organized by Florida PolyCon, an agency of the Florida Polytechnic University Student Government Association. Throughout these terms and conditions, Florida PolyCon refers to the parties hosting the event, including the Florida Polytechnic University Board of Trustees.
- License
- A valid ticket grants you a revocable license to attend the event. This license may be revoked at any time for any reason without a refund.
- Purchase and Acceptance of Ticket Order
- Customers are advised to check their purchase upon receipt and inform us of any errors as soon as possible.
- It is the responsibility of the customer to inform us of any change of address, contact number or email address, both before and after the receipt of tickets.
- If a customer orders more tickets than the maximum allowed as indicated during the booking process, their order may be canceled.
- When ordering tickets online, the website will not prevent you from buying tickets for two different events at the same time. If this happens you will not be refunded in any circumstances even if any other clauses apply.
- Acceptance of a ticket order is subject to the condition that tickets are available for the selected event.
- You will be notified by email if your ticket order is accepted. Acceptance will be deemed to have been effectively communicated to you upon being sent (whether or not you receive such communication).
- No order will be accepted until full payment has been received.
- Tickets will be dispatched to the email address given when the order is placed.
- Florida PolyCon is not responsible for the failure of any delivery services employed to deliver a ticket on time.
- No duplicate tickets will be issued to replace lost or stolen tickets unless a suitable reason is given and accepted by Florida PolyCon, who have full and final decision.
- Prohibited Uses of Ticket
- The resale or attempted resale of a purchased ticket is illegal and will render them VOID and anyone found using it will be refused entry.
- Tickets breaching the Terms & Conditions will be cancelled without refund.
- Duplicated and copied tickets will not be accepted and are not valid.
- Access to the event is controlled by a unique number and QR Code which can only be used once. The first person to present this ticket at the entry point will be considered the genuine owner of the ticket and will be admitted to the venue.
- Tickets cannot be transferred or exchanged.
- Refunds
- A refund will be issued to any Florida Polytechnic University student who can prove they have purchased a ticket.
- Any other refund requests will be handled on a case-by-case basis and can be denied or accepted for any reason.
- Event Cancellation or Postponement
- Notification of event cancellation or postponement will be posted on the relevant event website. Please check the website before attending.
- Performances
- The right to refuse admission to an event is reserved by Florida PolyCon at all times and/or the event venue, who may take health and safety, environmental and security concerns into account at their reasonable discretion and may from time to time carry out security searches.
- No refunds will be offered to customers who are refused entry or ejected from a venue for any reason, including, but not limited to, late arrival, being or appearing to be underage, declining to be searched, abusive, threatening, drunken, harassment, carrying offensive weapons or illegal substances, or making unauthorized audio, video or photographic recordings.
- All guest appearances are subject to work and personal commitments.
- Certain areas of the events may be age restricted and you are purchasing the tickets based on this knowledge. Please ensure that you read all the information that applies to any restrictive area of the event when you arrive at the venue and that you are carrying proof of age if appropriate.
- Liability
- Florida PolyCon does not accept any liability for any losses or claims arising from any inability to access our website or any failure to complete a booking on the website.
- Florida PolyCon does not accept liability for any indirect or consequential loss of any kind in contract, tort or otherwise arising out of the use of the website or the purchase of the tickets or other goods or services from us by whatever means.
- Whilst every care is taken to ensure tickets ordered by you arrive on time at the agreed destination, Florida PolyCon does not accept liability for loss or damage that is caused by any event or circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law Florida PolyCon will not be responsible for loss, damage or injury to any persons or their property howsoever caused.
- Use of Website.
- Privacy
- By entering and using this website, you consent to the collection, use and retention of your personal information.
- Information about you including your name, address, telephone number, email address is held by us, credit/debit card details are not held by us. The information is needed to process the transaction and fulfil your order and any subsequent problems or disputes.
- We may also use the information for internal administration and analysis by us and our associates.
- We disclose your information (but not credit/debit card details) to third parties on occasion but only for the purpose of completing your transaction with us.
- We may disclose your information as required by law, for the purpose of associated administration and obtaining professional advice, and your information may also be passed to the management of the venue where the event is taking place at their request.
- We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
- We reserve the right to update or otherwise change the terms and conditions or amend the website at any time and without notice to you.
- We will not accept any liability for tickets or other goods and services which have been ordered through our website or bought at the event using your credit/debit card by someone not authorized to do so.
- Our website uses industry standard encryption software and a secure server to ensure the safety of orders placed on our website. No one can access any information sent by you as long as it is sent using the secure pages. Therefore you must only send your credit/debit card details where asked for on our website and you should not send credit/debit card details by standard email.
- Privacy
- Photography & Filming.
- Visitors may be photographed and or filmed while participating in the event. The events are public consumer shows and photography is part of the experience. On entering the events you accept the terms of photography and filming.
- Visitors may be featured in footage and photos of the event as a matter of course. Images may be used for publicity purposes.
- General Provisions.
- Invalidity. If any part of these terms and conditions is unenforceable (including any provision in which we exclude our liability to you) the enforceability of any other part of these conditions will not be affected.
- No Waiver. No failure or delay on the part of any parties to these conditions relating to the exercise of any right, power, privilege or remedy provided under these conditions shall operate as a waiver of such right, power or remedy.
- Governing Law. These terms and conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, irrespective of the principles of conflicts of law. Venue of any actions arising out of these terms and conditions will be in the state courts in Polk County, Florida.
- Sovereign Immunity. Nothing in this agreement is to be construed as a waiver of sovereign immunity beyond that provided in section 768.28, Florida Statutes.
