What are the convention hours?

The convention is open from 10am – 8pm. The After Party takes place from 9pm – 12am.

Where is the Florida PolyCon located?

Florida PolyCon is located on the main campus of Florida Polytechnic University at the address: 4700 Research Way, Lakeland, FL, 33805. On the day of the event, please follow the event signs that will direct you to the correct location.

Is there free parking?

Starting this year parking is an additional $5 due to university policy. You can either pay day of or go to https://commerce.cashnet.com/cashnetg/static/storefront/AE_EVENT/catalog to purchase your parking in advance!

How much is a ticket to Florida PolyCon?
  • Pre-registered Tickets: $25.00
  • Early Bird Tickets: $20.00
  • Adult Tickets: $30.00
  • Children 12 & Under: $8.00
  • Elderly 60 & Over: $8.00
  • Florida PolyCon is free to all Florida Polytechnic University Students.

We accept all major credit cards for all ticket sales through our online ticketing system.

NO CASH Florida Polytechnic University is a cashless campus. We will not be accepting cash for payment for a ticket at the door. We will only be accepting credit cards and pre-registration.

Florida PolyCon is an event held by students for students at Florida Polytechnic University and therefore we operate underneath Florida Polytechnic University’s policies and guidelines.

Do I need a parent/guardian with me?

All attendees that are under the age of 12 must have a parent or guardian who is attending Florida PolyCon on the premises at all times. No exceptions will be made.

If you are under the age of 18, during the purchase of a ticket you will be asked to have a parent or guardian sign a liability waiver for the event.

How can I host a Panel/Workshop/Event?

Please see our “Application” page for the link to the Event Application. The application form has all relevant information regarding the details of the event.

Once you submit your application, you will receive a notice on whether it is approved or denied by our Vice President of Events. Panel Hosts are given free admission to the convention as a thanks for providing entertainment to the convention.

Can I select the time and place I will be placed as a Panel/Workshop/Event?

In order to maximize space and organize events efficiently, our Departments of Events and Department of Operations will be responsible for the organization and placement of all events.

If you have specific accommodations, please write them in the Event Application, and we will try to accommodate you to the best of our ability.

How can I become a Merchant?

Please see our “Application” page for the link to the Merchant Application. The application form has all relevant information regarding the details of your booth. Once you submit your application, you will receive a notice on whether it is approved or denied by our Vice President of Vendors.

There are two available categories for Merchants:

  • Two 5ft x 2ft tables: This comes with a free food voucher for the food trucks.
  • A 10ftx10ft space unit: This comes with a free food voucher for the food trucks.

Can I select where I can be placed as a Merchant?

In order to maximize space and display merchandise efficiently, our Department of Vendors and Department of Operations will be responsible for organization and placement if all vendors.

If you have specific accommodations, please write them in the Merchants Application, and we will try to accommodate you to the best of our ability.

Will my Panel/Workshop/Event show up on the website and in the Florida PolyCon guidebook?

All approved panels/workshops/events will be display on the website with their designated room and time slot.

We have an internal cut off date for out guidebook to ensure they arrive on time for the event. As long as your panel/workshop/event is approved before our internal cut off date it will appear in the guidebook.

How do I register for the Maid Café?

Registration for the Maid Café will be on the day of the event. When you arrive on campus, head to the Maid Café room (IST 1045). Seats will be honored on a first-come-first-serve basis. 

What is the prop policy for the event?

Please visit out “Policy” page to learn all about relevant policies that will be enforced at Florida PolyCon, including the prop policy.

Where can I find all guests that will be attending the event?

We are currently in contact with agencies around the nation to select the best talent for this year’s Florida PolyCon. If you are interested in being apart of our talent this year, please see our “Application” page for the link to the Talent Application. The application form has all relevant information regarding the details.
